Fire On Top Of The Old Reservoir

At around 6 PM on Friday 15th July, smoke could be seen coming from the park. A fire engine went past heading for the park.

It transpired that the dry grass on the top of the Old Reservoir was ablaze. The grass was blackened all round with just a few small bushes still on fire. 

It had not spread but there were many good wild flower in that relatively undisturbed area. Hopefully it did not damage the new paintwork on the restored railings.
