#KeepWildlifeWild Photography Competition
The Royal Parks are teeming with all kinds of wildlife and are especially blessed with birds. TRP Learning and Biodiversity teams have got together to create a unique bird spotter sheet for each park to help amateur naturalists young and old get the most out of a visit and seek out some of our most fascinating residents and visitors.
There’s no better way to experience any wildlife than watching natural habits and behaviour unfold. For that you need to keep your distance – so for each park they are offering a prize of a pair of top-quality binoculars, in both Junior and Senior categories.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply head to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and show them your best photograph of a bird from the spotter sheet for the park you’re in, along with:
- Name/location tag of the park you’re in
- Name of the bird
- The hashtag #KeepWildlifeWild
- Category entered – Junior (0-15) or Senior (16+)
It goes without saying that they are looking for natural shots – if there’s any hint that a bird has been lured with food or otherwise interfered with then entries will be discounted straight away, as will any pictures of nests from close-up. Contestants can only enter once per park but for as many parks as you like.
The competition closes on 1st August 2021, at which point all entries will go to our panel of judges drawn from across TRP Biodiversity, Learning and Park Management teams. The winners for each park will be announced on the 16th August 2021.
